Basically the same problem as Oleg. Unit didn’t want to accept a charge. Left it plugged in for 2 hours without charging indicator lighting up. Hopefully better unit 2nd time around. Someone else commented this was a fluke. Well, that’s 2 flukes so far. Makes it not so much of a fluke now. Doesn’t it?

It looks like a very neat little device with clever design for slide out microfone. The problem that the one I got yesterday was completely dead. No lights, no signs of life during charging.
I hope this is just my luck, so I am gonna give it another try, but absolutely not in Frustration-Free Packaging.
There is DEFINITELY SOMETHING WRONG with these packages. I want to warn people. First of all, the manual that camee with headset is not an original. Piece of paper with tiny hard to read text, missing letters. Second, the spare earhook is just plainly missing from the package. The bottom line is that those packages are nothing about care about customer but seemingly just the way to package loose or reconditioned items. Sad, but they did not bother even check if item is working condition.

Since this was my first purchase of a Bluetooth headset, I did some fairly serious research. The H800 Slider features sounded good and I felt comfortable ordering from Amazon. Pricing was competitive.
Set up and pairing was a breeze with an LG phone and it appears the unit will surpass expectations. I’ll use this quite a lot since my wife got on my case about possible radiation exposure from constant cell phone use.
A minor disappointment was the discovery that the promised additional ear loop was not in the package. Amazon needs to pay more attention to details of this nature since some folks would return the unit for that reason.

I purchased the Motorola H800 a few months ago, and this is my second Bluetooth headset that I’ve purchased over the years and this one has it pros and cons just like every Bluetooth.
The ear bud does not go into the ear so it is not uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. But because the ear bud doesn’t go into the ear the ear clip around the back of the ear can only keep the earpiece on so well. In normal use it works well, if you are going to be moving your head quickly from side to side often then it may not work well for you.
There are volume buttons on each side of the headset to raise and lower the volume, which makes to sound adjustments easy. The sound is quite clear on both ends because of the wind screens and other ambient dampening technology that helps clear out all of the background noise for the receiver of the phone call. The only time I’ve ever had issues hearing the person on the other line was when listening to someone using a speakerphone while I am on the headset.
Pairing the device was fairly simple but for the most part all headsets are so that is not a major feature for any device. The standby time on the headset makes it last a long time, especially because when you push the slider back in it turns the headset off, making the power last that much longer. The brands that it pairs with include all major brands which I was apprehensive about considering my phone is an LG and I’ve gotten headsets before that have not worked with brands other than Motorola, but it seems that they’ve worked out the kinks since then as it were.
Overall the headset works well in most general applications over the distance it states (just not the distance with walls in the way) and it has exceeded the expectations I have for this since I really only use it while I am driving. Plus the Amazon Frustration free package makes it easy to open (Amazon removes the product from the hard plastic case it normally comes in and places it in a small brown box sealed with mailing tape, much easier to open)
