There are many companies offering broadband mobile Internet, but before choosing one you must know your needs.

Research from broadband comparison site Broadband Expert has revealed that UK customers are paying 70% more than they need to for their broadband connections despite the credit crunch. The research carried out from January to July 2008 asked over 70,000 broadband customers on 8Mbps broadband packages what they paid for their connections and compared it to the deals currently available on the market revealing a huge disparity between the two figures.

The survey revealed that on average UK broadband customers pay £16.98 per month for an 8Mbps broadband package, despite some providers offering a similar package for under £10 a month.

So that is why you must know your needs:

  • how much speed do you need: 2.8Mb, 4.5Mb, 7.2Mb?
  • how many downloads you will make and how big the files are. The download is limited to 3Gb, 5Gb, 7Gb, 10Gb or 15Gb
  • your budget. The prices for broadband mobile net are £10.00, £15.00, £20.00, £25.00 or £30.00 per month
  • for how long you need the Internet. There are different offers for the minimum contract length: 12 months, 18 months or 24 months
